Rumor: CB Ty Law: Law Signs Deal with Cleveland? by Scout Rumor Central of ScoutNFLNetwork.com, August 26, 2008 at 7:51pm ET
Ty Law Profile
Somewhere in the world, there is a court that could decide which is more accurate: Wikipedia or local radio sportstalk hosts.
Clearly, this is a question which is beyond our capabilities here at Scout Rumor Central. We'll leave it for greater minds to decide.
Found this evening on Wikipedia by enterprising Cleveland Browns fans: "In an effort to help their secondary on August 26th the Browns signed Ty Law to a 2 year deal worth around 8 million dollars. He will step into the roster spot left vacant by Gary Baxter when he was cut earlier in the week."
That Baxter was actually cut seventeen days ago probably isn't critical at this point. What's critical is that it's in Wikipedia, so it has to be true.
Plus, a local radio sports talk host said something similar. Nevermind that the same local radio sports talk host declared that Kellen Winslow would miss the entire 2007 season. Eighty two receptions later, we have our doubts.
Here at Rumor Central, we'll just wait until we hear about Law and the Browns from the OBR, Warpaint Illustrated or Patriots Insider.
