| Trusnik grew up in Macedonia, Ohio, and attended Nordonia Hills High School. He went on to play at Ohio Northern University. Originally signed as an undrafted college free agent by the Jets in 2007, the 6-4, 250-pounder has played in 17 career games. He has posted five tackles and a fumble recovery on defense, and 23 stops, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble on special teams. In four games this year, he was tied for second on the squad with six special teams tackles, in addition to having recovered a fumble and forced one as well. He was named the AFC’s Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against Tennessee in Week 3, when he posted two tackles, forced and recovered a fumble. Trusnik was awarded a special teams game ball in two of the Jets’ three wins this year. |
