| Cundiff was originally signed by Dallas as an undrafted free agent in 2002 and spent four seasons (2002-05) with the Cowboys. He spent a portion of the 2006 season with New Orleans, handling kickoff duties in five games, while also attempting one field goal. In 58 career regular season games, he has converted 60-of-83 (.723) field goal attempts and 100-of-101 PATs for 280 career points. In 2003, Cundiff tied a then-NFL record with a career-high seven field goals against the N.Y. Giants (9/15). Most recently, he signed with the Lions on August 27 and played in their final two preseason games, connecting on both field goal attempts (21 and 32 yards) and three PATs. He was released on September 5. Cundiff set 15 Drake University (1999-02) records and seven Pioneer Football League marks during his collegiate career. Born William Ambrose Cundiff on March 30, 1980, the 6-1, 207 pounder attended Harlan Community High School in Harlan, Iowa. |
