| Biography: |
| Signed by the Cleveland Browns as a free agent on 9/16/09. Yates was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Miami Dolphins in 2003. He was waived on September 5, 2004, and then signed to New England’s practice squad, where he spent the remainder of the season. He was signed to the Patriots’ active roster on February 4, 2005. During his four seasons in New England, Yates saw action in 22 games with 12 starts, including a career-high seven at right guard in 2008. He was released by New England on September 4, 2009. A four-year letterman (1999-2002) at Texas A&M, Yates started all 20 games in which he appeared during his final two seasons. The 6-2, 305-pounder is a native of Fort Worth, Texas, where he attended Corsicana High School. |
