| Biography: |
| Signed by the Browns as a free agent on 9/16/09. Ventrone was originally signed by the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2005. He spent time on the Patriots’ practice squad and injured-reserve list, before making his NFL debut during the 2007 season. He saw action on special teams in two regular season games and two playoff contests in 2007. He appeared in 15 games in 2008 season on special teams and in a limited role as a receiver. He was waived by New England on September 5, 2009. Ventrone saw action in 35 career games as a defensive back at Villanova and was an All-Atlantic-10 Conference first team selection as a junior. The 5-10, 200-pounder is a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., where he attended Chartiers Valley High School. |
