Signed a contract extension with the Detroit Lions on July 25, 2008. The Lions acquired Bodden and a 2008 third-round pick from the Cleveland Browns in March for defensive lineman Shaun Rogers.

Leigh entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Duquesne University in 2003. He played 59 games, starting 28, in five NFL seasons, all with the Browns. His NFL career numbers are 207 tackles, 12 interceptions, 48 pass breakups, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
College/High School
A two-time consensus Division I-AA All-American who led Duguesne to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference League titles in 1999-2002. DU compiled a 37-8 record in that time span. His 28 interceptions rank second all-time in NCAA 1-AA.
Also was a member of the Dukes' track & field squad for three seasons; missed senior schedule while preparing for football career. Holds Duquesne record in 100 meters, long jump and as part of 4x100m relay team
Earned his degree in business management in his four years at Duquesne.
