Ross Verba, a former first-round draft pick of the Green Bay Packers, is one of the few bright spots on a troubled Browns offensive line. At 6-4 and 308 pounds, Verba has good size and a nasty streak that's a mile wide. A standout blocker at Iowa, Verba has played both guard and tackle for the Browns since joining the team as a free agent in 2001.

Verba is a tenacious, physical, and versatile lineman who is probably a better guard than tackle. But with the Browns simply knee deep in guard prospects, coaches have moved Verba to the critical left tackle position. It's a position he knows well. Between 1997 and 1999, Verba started 37 games at left tackle for the Packers before shifting to left guard in 2000.

Verba was selected 30th overall in the 1997 draft, after earning first-team All-Big Ten honors as a senior at Iowa.
