| If you were to create the perfect model of what the modern day inside linebacker is supposed to be, Lewis would fit the bill. He possesses the proper size, sideline to sideline speed and recognition it takes to be one of the elite at his position. And like the great predecesors that played before him, Lewis has a nasty streak that allows him to play with great ferocity. Not only is Lewis a force at the middle linebacker position, but he is arguably the best defensive player in the NFL.
After a standout career at the University of Miami (Fla.), Lewis has compiled 506 tackles, 19.5 sacks and 12 interceptions in just six years with the Baltimore Ravens. Lewis is a two-time Pro Bowl selection. |
