Released by the Patriots due to cap constraints ($12.5 mil), Law signed with AFCE rival New York Jets on August 8, 2005.
2005: Jets
In 16 games Law managed 45 tackles, 10 interceptions and eight passeses defended. The ten INTs set a new career record for the veteran defensive back.
Law suffered a Liz Franc injury in October of 2004 as a member of the New England Patriots. He was hindered by the foot at times during the 2005 season, but managed to set a new personal best (INTs) and team high record for the season. He was elected to the 2005 Pro Bowl. |
