AT OHIO: 2004 all-conference second-team selection for the Mid-American Conference... played in 44 games with 26 starts over four years... recorded 121 tackles (85 solo), including 50 (40 solo) as a senior... finished his career with eight sacks, half of which came during his final campaign... also ended with 19.5 tackles for loss with eight of those coming in 2004... made three solo tackles in the 2005 Gridiron Classic all-star game on Jan. 15... named a 2005 strength and conditioning All-American by the National Strength and  Conditioning Association... in the weight room, set team records for defensive linemen in the 40-yard dash (4.76), bench press (418) and power clean (340).

HIGH SCHOOL: Most Valuable Player of the Chicago Catholic League as an offensive tackle and defensive end... first-team all-state selection by both the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times... coached by Todd Kuska... also earned two varsity letters in basketball... member of the National Honor Society.
