| Biography: |
Jason Fisk was signed as a unrestriced free agent by the Chargers on March 8th 2002. He signed a 5 year deal worth a reported $12.5-million.
Fisk was selected out of Stanford in the 7th round of the 1995 NFL draft by the Minnesota Vikings.
College
Lettered four years at Stanford, starting 40 of 43 games at nose tackle. All-Pacific-10 and honorable mention All-America selection as a senior, honorable mention All-Pac-10 as a junior, Pac-10 All-Academic selection as a sophomore.
NFL Career
Jason cracked the starting lineup in only his second season. He started the last eight games of the season, and performed well. In the Vikings only playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys, Jason posted nine solo tackles and two forced fumbles. He also owns the distinction of being the only nose tackle in the NFL with interceptions in the 1997 and 1998 seasons.
Jason then moved on to Tennessee where he continued his productive career. His best season came in the Titans' Super Bowl season of 1999, when he set career highs with 80 tackles and four sacks in the regular season. |
