2000 NFL Draft, second round, 32nd overall Pro Experience
Cleveland Browns (2000-present)
2003: Made 62 catches for the Browns (team leader) for 729 yards and two
touchdowns... Started six games, appearing in fifteen... Didn't run back any
kicks for touchdowns, but had a punt return TD called back due to a penalty...
Missed one game due to a chest injury... Finished the season well with 115 yards
against Denver (three catches) and seven catches against Baltimore (67 yards)...
Ran the ball twelve times on reverses for 83 yards... Ran back 36 punts for 295
yards.
2002: Breakout season was rewarded with Team MVP award via Gameballs and
Goats voting by Browns fans on BerniesInsiders.com... Made 38 catches for 601
yards and five touchdowns... Rushed the ball for a 36-yard touchdown against the
New Orleans Saints... Returned 25 punts for 367 yards and two touchdowns... Also
had a 59-yard punt return against the Steelers in the Wild Card playoffs...
Added two receiving touchdowns via pass catches against the Steelers.
2001: Grabbed 18 passes for 211 yards in an injury-plagued season...
Returned 15 punts for 86 yards... Top game was against Tennessee (six catches,

Holds a slew of Pac-10 and Arizona records from an excellent career... Wound up
with 223 catches for 3,252 yards (school records), 5,392 all-purpose yards
(school record), and 43 consecutive games with a pass reception (school, Pac-10
record)... Named to numerous All-American teams after his senior year... Holds
Arizona single-season record with 88 catches for 1,422 yards his senior year...
Had 23 punt returns for 436 yards and two touchdowns... Had 63 catches for 916
yards as a junior... 58 receptions for 767 yards and nine touchdowns as a
sophomore... Played at cornerback during his freshman year, with a bit if
receiver as well.
Contract Status: Signed through the 2003 season.
