Pro Experience
Cleveland Browns (2001-present )
2003: Broke a bone in his foot
during a rookie mini-camp and was placed on the PUP list until well into the
season... Returned late in November and finally got back into action against
Pittsburgh on 11/23... Played both special teams and wide receiver, winding up
with one special teams tackle and two receptions on the year... Threw a "Hail
Mary" pass on the final play of the Broncos game, which fell short.
2002: Came out of nowhere in training camp to win a roster spot...
Appeared in seven games, at wide receiver and special teams.. Inactive for six
games during the season... First reception of his career came against
Cincinnati... Finished the year with one catch for six yards... Also attempted
one pass (incomplete)... Returned three kick-offs for 58 yards... Made three
tackles on special teams.
College Experience
Western Illinois University (1998-2001)
Played both quarterback and wide receiver for WIU, but converted to receiver
full-time... Holds single-game school record with a 14-catch, 286-yard effort
against Indiana State his senior year... Finished the season with 55 catches for
1,041 yards and seven touchdowns.
Contract Status: Signed through 2005.
