Cleveland Browns (2003-present)
2003: Solid rookie was derailed by injury... Started first six games of
the season... Sprained knee against Oakland (sixth game), but stayed in as the
Browns won... Was inactive due to the knee injury for the subsequent two
games... Returned to lineup for three games following the bye week, but sprained
his ankle against Pittsburgh and went on the IR for the remainder of the season.
College Experience
Notre Dame (1999-2002)
First-team All-American selection by a number of sources his senior season...
Started every game his senior year, and did not allow a sack all year...
Finalist for Rimington Award for the nation's best center... All-American
honorable mention his junior year... Started every game as a junior and
sophomore, logging the most minutes of playing time of all the Fighting Irish
both years... Red-shirted as a freshman in 1999.
Contract Status: Signed seven-year contract with the Browns in 2003.
