John Collins has served the NFL in a variety of sponsorship sales, marketing and entertainment programming roles since joining the NFL in 1989. Collins was most recently named in February 2003 senior vice president of marketing and sales, reporting to NFL chief operating officer Roger Goodell.
In this role, Collins oversees all the corporate sponsorship and marketing functions of the NFL, one of the most visible brands in the world.
Collins was named in September 2000 as senior vice president of entertainment programming and marketing. He spearheaded the NFL's advertising and design, marketing, club services, market research, media planning, and non-game traditional programming.
Born on November 27, 1961, Collins was an NFL executive from 1989-1999 before a brief stint at Broadband Sports.
Collins joined NFL Films in 1989 as director of sponsorship sales and was promoted to vice president in 1993. In 1996, Collins was named to the newly created position of NFL Vice President of Programming and Sales.
Prior to joining the NFL, Collins was in advertising account management with DDB Needham Worldwide (New York) for six years. |
