ultimately lost the job to Tim Couch... Played in ten games, starting eight...
Registered career-high regular-season passing yards (392) vs. Arizona
Cardinals... Injured right fibula against 49ers, but played on, leading Browns to fourth quarter victory...
Missed several games, but replaced Couch against San Diego Chargers, leading comeback in loss...
Replaced Couch again due to thumb injury against Patriots... Couch returned to starting role after Holcomb threw two interceptions against Rams. Did not appear in final three
games.
2002: Often spectacular in relief of Tim Couch during excellent
2002 campaign... Completed 64 of 106 passes for 790 yards during regular
season... Replaced Couch for first two games due to injury to Couch's elbow...
Threw for 326 yards and three touchdowns in opening game loss to Kansas City...
