This afternoon, Bernie's Insiders is first to use this lame pun for a title, as the Browns select DL Amon Gordon from Stanford with their fifth-round pick. The selection adds depth to the Browns defensive line.

This afternoon, the Browns continue to pass on potential offensive line selections to focus on what they percieve to be value selections. In the fifth round, the Browns selected defensive lineman Amon Gordon.

Gordon is a versatile lineman, having played both defensive end and defensive tackle at Stanford. While he may have been a higher pick if he had stayed in for another year, the Browns get another young player, as they have now selected three juniors so far this year.

Gordon's ability to play both positions adds additional versatility to the Browns defensive line, and should give Dave Campo the ability to rotate linemen more aggressively during this upcoming season.
