College Highlights
Started 20 of 41 games for the Texas Longhorns, ranking third on the school’s career-record list with 53 TFL as well as collecting 199 tackles, 14 sacks and 54 QB pressures during his career…All-Big 12 second-team choice in 2000 despite being hindered for much of the year with a high-ankle sprain that would require surgery after the season…Despite lack of usual mobility, he was one of the major reasons Texas limited opponents to only 94.0 yards per game rushing, the lowest figure by a Longhorn squad since 1983, and the Longhorns led the nation in pass efficiency defense (88.3) and ranked seventh in total defense (278.3 ypg) as well…In 1999, earned All-Big 12 Conference first-team honors, joining Pittsburgh Steelers 2000 first round choice, Casey Hampton in becoming the Longhorns’ first defensive tackle tandem to garner such accolades in the same season since 1971…Started 12 of 13 games as a junior, and recorded a career-high 80 tackles with 5.5 sacks for 33 yards, 27 TFL and 24 QB pressures.
