Randy! Phil! RAC!
How nice to see all of you! Get out of this awful weather! Come on in, make
yourself at home.
Sorry if the house is a bit of a mess. The wife and I both have are pretty
busy at work, and the kids, you know, well, we do the best we can.
There's some eggnog on the table if you're in the mood. It's got a little
kick to it, because I poured in what was left of my bottle of Jameson's. Be
careful if you're driving. Or flying, whatever.
Please, please, have some of these cookies... get them out of this
house. I don't need the temptation.
Really? Those are for me? You shouldn't have...

The wrapping is so nice. Man, you guys really put a lot into this. Let me
open the first one here, and see what's in there:
| I wish to cancel my membership the browns are a
embarrassment to me as a life long fan and we deserve better please
advise what I need to do to make this happen asap |
Fellas, really, you shouldn't have. I mean, you really freaking shouldn't
have. What's in the red one?
|
Barry thanks for the prompt response and inquiry... Honesty in
regard to the Browns it just isn't worth the time anymore. I can't
continue to invest energy and continue to be frustrated. I always
enjoyed the forums but lately the meltdowns have become so personal it
just isn't any fun to read anymore. I haven't watched the Browns since
the Houston game and just have no desire to continue to waste time on
the team. I'm pretty die hard so this is not easy for me. Although I
respect what the OBR is and does, Savages F@#$ you to the fans, was I
think what really began to sour me, and unfortunately in this case the
baby goes out with the bathwater. |
Wow, you really went all out this year. Next year, you know, please don't.
I mean that.
God and our country has blessed us with so much, we really don't need
anything else. But we appreciate you thinking of us.
Hey, look, I've been thinking of you guys, too. Here, wrapped this up
special. That ribbon is actual pure solid gold, honest.
Nah, I'm just pulling your leg. Got that at the dollar store. Here, here...

To whom it may
concern…I am not planning to renew my season ticket/PSL for the 2009
season. I
have been a loyal season ticket holder/supporter since the Browns
rejoined the league in 1999 and I just can't take it anymore. I have
faithfully driven from Columbus to every home game and have witnessed
precious few "highlights" and countless disappointments and frustrating
rides home.
Please educate
me regarding the process for selling my PSL.
This is a very
sad day for me, as I really can’t imagine there is a bigger fan than me,
but you can tell Mr. Lerner that the state of this franchise has made
even ME realize that maybe there are more important things to do on
Sundays than watch "professional football games",
I hope you get
things in order, you can always win me back, but for now... this is
goodbye.

Yeah, I know you probably have others like it, but this one is kinda special
to me, since it comes from a friend. I may be re-gifting, but sometimes those
are the best kind.
While we're in a giving mood, how about those Browns fans out there?
I know you love 'em, I love 'em, too. They deserve nothing but the best...
you're right... they've been through a lot. They have every right to be upset.
Have you read the newspapers? I'm reading a lot of folks in the media sort of
wagging their fingers at them about being so critical. Tsk, tsk, and all that.
What's that? They pay the money, they can say whatever they want? I agree
100%. I think you guys get it despite that whole email thing.
Thing is, I don't think a lot of folks in the media really understand what
it's like to put your heart and soul into the team. It's one thing to be
objective sitting in the press box, but it's another to get so emotionally
wrapped up that you feel like punching something when things go wrong. I know a
lot of people who have felt like that for some time now. Some of them are just
worn out now. They've been pounded down so many times, they can't muster up the
energy anymore.
I don't think some of those columnists ever thought about their crappy job,
or all the things that have gone wrong in the last year, and wondered why
nothing can freaking go right in their lives, not even their stupid football
team. I mean, I've sorta been there at some times in my life.
They don't know what it's like to have a friend at work torment them year
after year about their team stinking, and chuckle along while wondering why they
can't be on the other side of this sometime. Or that stupid guy down the street
who hangs his Pittsburgh Steeler flag out each fall, and shouts out, with that
smirk on his face, "How are your Browns doing?".
Nope. Not sure those media folks really understand that while they're up on
their mountaintops speaking down at all of us.
Anyhow, listen to me ramble on. Sorry.
I've been working on that thing we were talking about for the fans. I think
I've got it pretty much done, but I just need your help to do your part. Looks
like we're not going to be able to get it to them in time for this year. Maybe
next year, huh?
Got this mostly done... just need a few things from your side. Better roster
and stuff. Let me know when you're ready.
Here, check it out:

You like it? I can't to be able to show them this. I can't wait to see their
smiles. I know they don't have one like this.
Next year can't come soon enough.
