BEREA - Joshua Cribbs only knows how to play one way.
“I only know how to play one way,” Cribbs said. “That is all out.”
Romeo Crennel agreed.
“Usually, it’s all or nothing with Josh.”
Cribbs said everything is progressing on the practice field and he feels he’s
going to be able to play against the Steelers.
“I think I’m ready,” he said. “Ultimately, it is up to the coach, but I feel
pretty good running around out there.”
Crennel said that the Browns are hoping to utilize Cribbs, not only on special
teams, but also on offense.
“Some of the things we worked on with him in training camp we can use,” he said.
“A lot of it will be based on his availability.”
Cribbs made the Pro Bowl as a kicker/punt returner and the Steelers kicked away
from him last year after he had some long returns. Cribbs had four kickoff
returns for 98 yards in the first meeting, but had four for 204 yards, including
a 100-yard touchdown in the second game.
“I’m counting on them kicking away from me,” he said. “But, by doing that,
they’re giving up good field position.”

Must Win?: Many think Sunday’s game with the Steelers would fall in the category
of “have” to win, but some of the players didn’t want to categorize it that way.
“It would definitely help to win,” Braylon Edwards said. “Have is a strong win,
but it’s close.”
Crennel mentioned the Giants went on to win the Super Bowl last year after
starting 0-2.
“It’s a game we would like to win,” Crennel said. “In some people’s eyes it is a
must win game.
“Last year, the Giants started 0-2 and it they would’ve cashed it in they would
not have made it to the Super Bowl.”
Willie’s 200th: LB Willie McGinest will play his 200th career NFL game on
Sunday. McGinest is in his 15ht NFL season.
“I didn’t know that until someone told me,” McGinest said. “As a player, you
think what all you’ve been through and where you still want to do. The three
years with Cleveland has went fast.
“I’ve been playing football since I was seven in pee wee ball,” he said. “Right
now, my focus is on Pittsburgh, not on me.”
McGinest said he was fined by the NFL for his hit on QB Tony Romo that resulted
in Romo getting 13 stitches.
Injury Update: Crennel said that it looked as though WR Joshua Cribbs, OL Rex Hadnot, DB Brodney Pool and LB Kris Griffin would be available for Sunday’s game
with the Steelers. He didn’t rule out WR Donte Stallworth from playing but
since he is not expected to practice Thursday, it is not likely he will play.
