BROWNS PLACE WR JOE JUREVICIUS ON RESERVE PHYSICALLY UNABLE TO PERFORM (PUP) LIST
Browns place WR Kevin Kasper on Reserve/Injured and waive three other players
The Cleveland Browns have placed WR Joe Jurevicius on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform (Reserve/PUP) list, the club announced today. The club has also placed WR Kevin Kasper on Reserve/Injured and has waived DB Damon Jenkins, DL Brian Schaefering and RB Austin Scott. The Browns are now down to the NFL mandated 75-man roster.
Jurevicius will spend the first six weeks of the regular season on the Reserve/PUP list. During that time frame he will be able to attend meetings and continue his rehabilitation with the club in Berea, however, he will not be eligible to practice with the club. After the sixth week, the Browns have a three-week window (Weeks 7-9) to allow Jurevicius to start practicing with the club. League rules also stipulate that once a player begins to practice with the club, he will have another three week window from that starting date before the club has to make a decision on his roster status. At any point beginning the sixth week and continuing through the expiration of the player’s practice window, the club can add the player to the 53-man roster, place him on Reserve/Injured, or allow him to remain on Reserve/PUP.
