UPDATE 7PM: The Cleveland Browns have confirmed the OBR's story from earlier today. They have not provided details as to the extent of the surgery and no press release has been mailed out as of this time.
As Lane Adkins reported yesterday, we have been told that rookie linebacker Beau Bell has had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. The surgery was reportedly performed recently at the Cleveland Clinic.
If what we've been told proves to be true, Bell could be out anywhere from a four weeks to substantially longer. We do not have any confirmation from the team yet on how extensive the surgery was, but early reports indicate that it was not extensive.
As of Thursday afternoon, the Browns organization has not responded to email requests for confirmation.
Stay tuned to the Orange and Brown Report for updates.
