Talks on a contract extension for Cleveland Browns head coach Romeo Crennel have begun theOBR.com and Scout.com have confirmed Tuesday evening. The veteran coach has two years left on his original five-year deal valued at more than $2 million per season. While details of the discussions haven't been made known, it's believed Crennel could be seeking a three-year extension which would take him through 2012.
Both sides have shown a willingness to get a deal done and if it's not completed this week, talks would be expected to resume during the Senior Bowl next week in Mobile, Alabama.
