Practice Squad Filled

Posted Sep 3, 2007

The Browns practice squad has been set. Most of the names ring a bell, while a couple others find Cleveland as their new home. What comes as a surprise, is a couple names which did not join the squad.

In keeping with tradition, the majority of players making up the practice squad are training camp cast-offs. Two new additions come from other entities:

RB Chris Barclay from Wake Forest, OT Cliff Louis from Morgan State, DE Chase Pittman from LSU, DE Melila Purcell, Melila from Hawaii, WR Steve Sanders from Cleveland and Bowling Green, WR Syndric Steptoe from Arizona.

The two new additions to the team are:

TE Jonny Harline from Brigham Young and DB Tim Mixon from California.
