Adam Caplan, reporting for Scout.com, has informed the OBR that Robaire Smith has reach an agreement for a four-year deal with the Cleveland Browns.

The 6' 4", 310-pound Smith is entering his eighth NFL season, and will play defensive end for the Browns. Smith has played for the Tennessee Titans as well as the Houston Texans, but was cut by the Texans after Gary Kubiak arrived in Houston and altered the defensive scheme.

Smith's contract with the Browns enables him to play once more for defensive coordinator Todd Grantham, whom he played for in Houston. As the OBR's John Taylor has been reporting, Smith was hoping to sign with Cleveland to enable him to be coached by Grantham once more.

The signing doesn't come as a surprise for OBR subscribers. For the record, Taylor first talked about Smith as being a likely free agent signing for the Browns, about seven months ago.
