The Orange and Brown Report is proud to announce the addition of veteran
sportswriter Pat McManamon for the 2006 regular season. McManamon, a
highly-regarded NFL writer with over a decade of experience at the Palm Beach
Post and Akron Beacon-Journal, will participate in three features for OBR
beginning this week.
Pat Answers: Despite its
name, subscribers will get anything but "pat answers" here, as McManamon
responds to questions from subscribers each week of the season. This feature
will appear each Saturday evening on the OBR website. Subscribers can submit
questions by writing to askpat @ theobr.com.
Ask the Insiders: Pat will join
OBR insiders in our exclusive subscriber forum, where the OBR team answers
questions, posts updates, and offers their thoughts on Browns subjects on a
daily basis. The team of experts and staff members participating in the forum
already includes veteran Browns beat writers Fred Greetham and Jeff Schudel,
infamous web columnist John Taylor and OBR publisher Barry McBride.
Subscriber Chats: Pat was the
first-ever OBR chat guest in 2000, and will add his presence to the OBR's
already-impressive list of in-season chat room guests. The OBR chat room
currently features regularly scheduled chats with the Chronicle-Telegram's Scott
Petrak and Sirius Radio's Adam Caplan, as well as fan-organized chats on Tuesday
during the OBR radio show and Sundays during Browns games.
About the Orange and Brown Report
From its humble beginnings in 1996 as a website protesting the move of the
Cleveland Browns to Baltimore, the OBR has gone through many incarnations, but
has continued to grow as Browns fans' top destination for independent news, talk
and analysis about their favorite team. In 2001, the website joined the Scout
network as "Bernie's Insiders" and was renamed the Orange and Brown Report in
2005 when Scout became part of Fox Interactive Media.
The OBR began a print magazine in 2001 and a year-round Tuesday evening web
radio broadcast in May 2005.
Despite its growth, the OBR has remained true to its fan-oriented roots with
regular features contributed by fans and personal interaction between fans and
all members of the OBR team. The OBR website can be found at
http://browns.scout.com.
