The Browns starting QB hobbled back to Berea, but will share practice snaps with Frye

Trent Dilfer returned to practice Thursday. He limped slightly, but he was able to trot. He did not run wind sprints with the rest of the team.

Coach Romeo Crennel said Charlie Frye would get at least 50 percent of the snaps, but now the door is open for Dilfer to start against the Jaguars Sunday. Crennel will delay a situation.

Meanwhile, Frye said practice went well Wednesday, the first time he ever practiced the majority of the time with the first team.

MORE WOUNDED: On the injury front, Alvin McKinley was back on the field after missing Wednesday with an ankle injury. Nose tackle Ethan Kelly is still bothered by a swollen left knee and did not practice.

HELP FOR REUBEN: It looks like the offensive line will be intact for the first time in four weeks, which is good timing for Reuben Droughns as he needs just 59 yards to reach 1,000.

Joe Andruzzi missed the last two weeks with a calf injury and Cosey Coleman missed the week before that with a knee injury. Both guards are ready to go Sunday.

Droughns said he is more concerned about beating the Jaguars than getting the 1,000 yards. He said he has plans to reward his offensive linemen.

"I'm going to get them a couple Bentley's - the models," he said.

Droughns should get the 1,000 yards in the 12th game and not need the other four games.
