Kenard Lang has been named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Baltimore Ravens, the NFL announced today.

Lang took advantage of the absence of Baltimore All-Pro offensive tackle Jonathon Ogden to register three sacks of young Baltimore quarterback Kyle Boller on Sunday. In addition to the sacks, Lang scored three tackles, two quarterback pressures, and one forced fumble on a fourth quarter sack of the Ravens quarterback.

The forced fumble caused by Lang was recovered by Michael Myers and put the Browns in position to score their final, game-sealing, touchdown three plays later.
