A Sleeper in the Seventh?

The Browns may have found a sleeper, and local radio and TV announcers a reason seek anti-depressants, as they draft Adimchinobe Echemandu with their seventh round selection. The California running back emerged from injury and academic troubles to reign among the leaders in rushing yards in the Pac-10 this season.

Adimchinobe Echemandu has a name that may take a little getting used to, but he will be an exciting player to watch as the 2004 draws near.

After taking a while to get an opportunity, Echemandu made the most of it in 2003, displaying explosiveness that resulted in an All-Conference selection in the Pac-10. One year after Lee Suggs was drafted in the fourth round, the Browns hope that they have found another second-day steal at running back in 2004.
