Courtney Brown has had
successful surgery to repair a ruptured right biceps
tendon suffered in the second quarter of Monday
night’s loss to the Rams.
“The doctors’ report was, and I don’t want to say
anything is routine, but it was extremely positive,”
said Davis. “The muscle was not frayed. All they had
to do was reattach the tendon ... It was a very clean
reattachment , as opposed to Ross Verba’s, which was a
lot more complicated.”
Verba, who was scheduled to be the Browns starting
left tackle, missed the entire season after rupturing
a biceps tendon in the preseason finale.
Chad Beasley, who fractured his fibula in two places
Monday night also had surgery. The rookie offensive
linemen’s right leg is expected to be healed by the
mid-spring.
