Wide receiver Andre' Davis was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week after returning four kickoffs for 168 yards, including a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, in the Browns 34-17 win against Houston on October 20, 2002. Quarterback Tim Couch was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week after totaling career-highs in completions (36) and attempts (50), tying a career-best with three TDs and posting his second-highest yardage total (326) in the Browns' 31-28 overtime win at Tennessee on September 22, 2002.
Defensive Back Anthony Henry was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week (11/18/01 at Baltimore) and kicker Phil Dawson was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week (9/30/01 at Jacksonville) in 2001. Defensive Linemen Keith McKenzie (9/10/00 at Cincinnati) and Brown (9/17/00 vs. Pittsburgh) were honored as the AFC Defensive Player of the Week in consecutive weeks during the 2000 season.
