On Sunday afternoon the Scout.com message board servers once again experienced technical issues. As of early Monday morning the network engineering team had identified the issues and was working on a fix.
Scout.com management has issued the following statement regarding the status of the forums:
"We apologize for the forums issues this past week. They arise from having to replace obsolete hardware that had not been updated under previous ownership. These updates had originally been planned for after NCAA basketball season, to minimize intrusiveness, but we obviously now will be accelerating this work. We will do whatever it takes to provide stability, speed and capacity, but will error on the side of getting things right for the long haul as opposed to a Band-Aid approach."
Certainly we recognize the inconvenience such issues cause and we appreciate your patience while this issue is being resolved for good. We look forward to getting back to normal ASAP.
