Saints hire Rob Ryan

The New Orleans Saints will in fact hire Rob Ryan to be the organization's defensive coordinator, according to an ESPN report.

Nothing seems to be set in stone just yet as University of Georgia defensive coordinator Todd Grantham, who has NFL coaching experience, is scheduled to interview with the Saints on Thursday.

However, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that a Georgia football recruit's mother spoke with Grantham and that he plans to stay coaching college football.

Ryan was last with the Dallas Cowboys before being fired this offseason. He was reportedly set to join the St. Louis Rams coaching staff before that organization elected not to hire him. Recommended Stories
