The Browns have released their training camp schedule. As we promised folks in the forum planning to get together, we're slamming it up as soon as we get it. Here's the press release... look for the practices and more info to show up on the web calendar and elsewhere over the next day.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BROWNS OPEN 2003 TRAINING CAMP ON JULY 22 IN BEREA
**Practices are open to the public starting July 25 when full squad begins practice**

The Cleveland Browns begin preparations for the 2003 National Football League season by officially opening training camp on Tuesday, July 22 at their training facility in Berea, Ohio.  The Browns will practice once on July 22-24 with workouts featuring rookies and a limited number of veterans.  The first practice featuring the entire squad and the first practice open to the public will be Friday, July 25 at 3:30 p.m.  Training camp practices open to the public conclude on August 13.

-All practices open to the public are free of charge.  The Browns will be on the field a total of 15 days with 22 total practices scheduled. This does not include a pair of practices on August 1 in Berea and a scrimmage with the Buffalo Bills on Saturday, August 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Cleveland Browns Stadium.  For more information log on to www.clevelandbrowns.com.  Tickets for the scrimmage can be purchased for $5.00 at Ticketmaster (216) 241-5555.  All proceeds benefit the Cleveland Browns Foundation.

-Recommended parking for fans is at Baldwin-Wallace College (see attached parking directions).

-Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

-There will be concession stands offering food and beverages.

-Due to a lack of space, fans will not be permitted to watch any practice(s) in the indoor training facility.

DAILY TRAINING CAMP PRACTICE SCHEDULE

The team will practice twice most days from July 25 – August 13 from approximately 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.  The daily training camp practice schedule follows:

FAN PARKING

FROM NORTH:  Take I-71 South to Bagley Road, Exit 235.  Turn right onto Bagley Road heading west.  Parking will be available adjacent to Baldwin-Wallace’s Finnie Stadium on the north side of Bagley Road, or at Baldwin-Wallace’s Recreation Center to the south of Bagley Road near Beech Street.  Proceed to Training Camp by walking north on Beech Street from the parking lot.

FROM SOUTH:  Take I-71 North to Bagley Road, Exit 235.  Turn left onto Bagley Road heading west.  Parking will be available adjacent to Baldwin-Wallace’s Finnie Stadium on the north side of Bagley Road, or at Baldwin-Wallace’s Recreation Center to the south of Bagley Road near Beech Street.  Proceed to Training Camp by walking north on Beech Street from the parking lot.

FROM EAST:  Take I-480 West to I-71 South to Bagley Road, Exit 235.  Turn right onto Bagley Road heading west.  Parking will be available adjacent to Baldwin-Wallace’s Finnie Stadium on the north side of Bagley Road, or at Baldwin-Wallace’s Recreation Center to the south of Bagley Road near Beech Street.  Proceed to Training Camp by walking north on Beech Street from the parking lot.

FROM WEST:  Take I-480 East to I-71 South to Bagley Road, Exit 235.  Turn right onto Bagley Road heading west.  Parking will be available adjacent to Baldwin-Wallace’s Finnie Stadium on the north side of Bagley Road, or at Baldwin-Wallace’s Recreation Center to the south of Bagley Road near Beech Street.  Proceed to Training Camp by walking north on Beech Street from the parking lot.

GUEST DROP-OFF & PICK-UP: For those interested in dropping off and picking up guests at Training Camp, please do so by using Lou Groza Boulevard and follow signage.

HANDICAP PARKING: Parking for the handicap can be accessed by calling 1-877-6-BROWNS.

PARKING ON SURROUNDING CITY STREETS IS PROHIBITED EXCEPT BY RESIDENTIAL PARKING PERMIT ONLY.
