Steelers hire Todd Haley as offensive coordin
Haley was fired by the Chiefs in December. Arians was hired by the Indianapolis Colts after not being retained by the Steelers. Haley, 44, is known as a fiery coach who struggled as a head coach in Kansas City.
The Chiefs went 19-26 under his leadership.
Haley was previously an offensive coordinator with the Arizona Cardinals before being hired in Kansas City.
Haley has a family connection to the Steelers.
His father, Dick Haley, played defensive back for the AFC North franchise in the 1960s and was part of the scouting department as a director of player personnel as the Steelers won four Super Bowls.
The younger Haley was a ball boy for the Steelers. The Steelers ranked 12th in total offense, ranking 21st in scoring offense. Haley has also coached for the New York Jes, Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys.
