Stock Up
Kirk Cousins, Quarterback, Michigan State
Michigan State quarterback Kirk Cousins has put together a bit of a yo-yo performance in Mobile, throwing very well on Day 1, taking a step back on Day 2 but then rebounding on Day 3. He may not have accomplished as much at the collegiate level as fellow North QBs Kellen Moore and Russell Wilson, but he is by far the best pro prospect of the three and looked like it again Wednesday. The former Spartan was drilling his passes from start to finish with the kind of velocity and accuracy of which neither Moore nor Wilson seems capable. (John Crist)
Juron Criner, Wide Receiver, Arizona
After an early drop, Criner bounced back and made several catches including a deep route in which he burned
potential first-round pick Janoris Jenkins. Criner showed nice hands and used his body well as he boxed out smaller
defenders. (Charlie Bernstein)
Marvin McNutt, Wide Receiver, Iowa
At 6-foot-2½ , Marvin McNutt has the size
NFL teams covet in a receiver, but he needed to show he has the
quickness coming out of breaks. While that still might be a bit of a
concern, McNutt certainly showed Wednesday that he knows how to find
the open areas in a defense and his quarterbacks have learned that
putting the ball high enough in the air will give McNutt an advantage
over the defender. (Tim Yotter)
Quentin Coples, Defensive End, North Carolina
There's not much not to like about Quentin Coples game. Coples is clearly the best player at the Senior Bowl and
will be the first player from here drafted, likely in the Top 10. He's strong, shows good burst and can play in both a
4-3 and 3-4 schemes and has experience in both while at North Carolina. He's not as good as the player he's most
compared to, Julius Peppers, but he can make someone's defensive line exponentially better. (Charlie Bernstein)
Stock Down
DeVier Posey, Wide Receiver, Ohio State
DeVier Posey continues to fight the ball as he's a natural body catcher and he plays smaller than his near 6-foot-2,
209 pound frame suggests. Posey has been one of the biggest disappointments at the Senior Bowl. (Charlie Bernstein)
Mike Adams, Offensive Tackle, Ohio State
After a pretty solid session on Tuesday,
Adams struggled with the speed rush on Wednesday. Marshall’s Vinny Curry burned him a few times before Adams recovered and finally got
the best of Curry. But facing a quick end, Adam seemed to lose his
balance too often trying to keep up with the opposing speed. (Tim Yotter)
Kevin Zeitler, Offensive Lineman, Wisconsin
Although Zeitler is as strong as anyone at the Senior Bowl, he struggles in space and was beaten badly in one-on-
one drills all morning long. He will have issues with quicker defensive tackles in the NFL and may never develop into a
starting caliber lineman. (Charlie Bernstein)
